Not Just Another Art Gallery ....

We opened the doors to Gallery on the Cobbles in Lymington, 12 years ago.
So whether you're just here to have a browse, looking for a 'wow' painting to update & brighten your home or just looking for a gift for a loved one, friend or colleague - we're absolutely sure we'll be able to help you find something you'll love.

Customise Your Own

Put the first splash of colour onto the canvas yourself! If you would like to join in the painting process and create your own masterpiece with Stephen please email us or call us on 07979351802 to arrange a day & time.  All he needs is approximately an hour of your time, a day or two for the painting to dry and be sealed before it's ready to be collected or wrapped & dispatched.
You can customise your painting in several ways:

  • DECIDE ON CANVAS SIZE

               (bespoke sizes available)

  • CHOOSE YOUR COLOURS

                       (send a swatch)

  • PICK ONE OF THE DESIGNS

                   (from gallery or website)

  •  DISCREETLY ADD NAME, DATE

                    (anniversary, birthday..)

  • WATCH IT BEING PAINTED

                        (have a go yourself)

Personalisation works on all canvas sizes and there is no extra charge. All details maybe emailed, posted or pop into the gallery and discuss your ideas with Stephen.

OUR NEXT EVENT

We have no events planned at the moment ....

HOW TO HANG YOUR CANVAS

Whichever way you choose to hang your canvas simply depends on personal preference.  In the gallery we use the following steps:

1. Mark two fixing points with a pencil

2. Drill a hole at these fixing points and push a wall plug in each, making sure it's flush with the wall surface.

3. Then insert and tighten a screw in each hole, leaving the head sticking out about an inch for the canvas to hang from.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR CANVAS

Canvases are a durable form of wall art that can stand reasonable exposure to the elements but it is still wise to take the proper precautions to ensure the longevity of your painting.

Q. Can You Hang The Paintings In A Bathroom?

A. Yes if there is good ventilation and not immediately next to the bath or shower.
